| Pam Tebow is a speaker who garnered national
attention when she and her son, Tim, starred in two pro-life television
ads which aired during the 2010 Super Bowl game.
While Missionaries in the Philippines where her husband, Bob, runs an orphanage for 50 orphans, Pam became pregnant for Tim. During the pregnancy, she entered into a coma after contracting amoebic dysentery, an infection of the intestine caused by a parasite found in contaminated food or drink. The medical treatment required strong medications that the doctors said would cause irreversible damage to Tim, and they were advised to abort him. Pam refused the abortion citing her Christian faith and prayed that her son would be born without the devastating disabilities physicians predicted. She spent the last two months of her pregnancy in bed, and, in August, 1987, she gave birth to TIM TEBOW, who grew up to win the 2007 coveted Heisman Trophy as a Sophomore in college, and he went on to lead the Florida Gators to a college football national championship. In April, 2010, Tim was picked in the first round by the Denver Broncos. Pam and her husband, Bob, have been married 37 years. They have five children, 3 granddaughters and a grandson. Pam homeschooled all of her children and retired from homeschooling after 24 years when the youngest, Tim, left for college. |
